☕ Good morning, Long Island.

🍣 The fall installment of Long Island Restaurant Week is in full swing, and lucky for you it runs through Sunday!

🦃 From Turkey Trots to food drives, we’ve rounded up Thanksgiving-time happenings across Long Island you’ll want to know about.

📫 Also, I'm looking to float something by you all today. While our GLI newsletters are free and always will be, I'm a romantic for print.

I've long dreamed of putting together something like The Saturday Evening Post, complete with commissioned cover art — but only for us Long Islanders, under the GLI flag.

That said, I could test the waters with some sort of quarterly mailing that arrives in your mailbox. I'm thinking local guides, new restaurant roundups, special deals and whatever else the team and I can come up with.

We can take it season by season.

Please vote below so I can measure interest!

🪧 Need to promote an event? Do it the best way, the GLI way.

Weather: Today will be sunny and windy, with a high near 54 ☀️💨

First, apology issued following rowdy Ryder Cup week at Bethpage

⛳ If you were at Bethpage Black during the Ryder Cup, you probably heard the roar — and maybe a few things you shouldn’t have from the crowd. Now, an apology has been issued to Europe's star player, and wife.

Second, Verde’s on the move; lists original Bay Shore location up for sale

🌿 The big move is expected by late spring or early summer. The restaurant will relocate just down the block to a building more than three times the size of its current location, complete with a rooftop.

Third, Giunta’s Meat Farms opens in Middle Island, replaces King Kullen

🍖 Giunta’s Meat Farms has officially opened in Middle Island, taking over the former King Kullen space that closed in April. Tap for photos.
