🎤 Massapequa native Jessie Findling delivered a powerful audition on American Idol, earning a rare standing ovation from judges and a Golden Ticket to Hollywood Week. His performance of “In the Stars” also highlighted how singing has helped him overcome a lifelong stutter.


Second, ice gives way during snow storm — leading to rescue in Nesconset

⚠️ A father and his 12-year-old son were rescued after falling through the ice at Gibbs Pond in Nesconset during Sunday’s winter storm. Both were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for evaluation, as officials warn icy conditions can turn dangerous fast during extreme weather



Third, B'Haven to preserve acreage near Swan River and Artist Lake

🦃 Brookhaven Town secured state grants to protect more than 20 acres of wetlands and undeveloped land near Artist Lake and the Swan River area, preserving sensitive habitats and water quality for the future.
