1. Suffolk to impound illegal e-bikes under new law; no one under 16 can ride

🚲 County officials announced they will aggressively enforce a new local law strengthening penalties for illegal e-bike and e-scooter operation, including impounding vehicles and issuing fines up to $7,300.


2. Waterfront favorite South Swell won’t reopen after clash with town

🍹 South Swell, the waterfront sister concept to Swell Taco, will not reopen for the 2026 summer season after a licensing dispute with the Town of Babylon — with ownership blaming an “unexpected” permit issue.



3. Two paralyzed dogs and the Selden man who never lets them down

🐾 Chi was shot in the eye and twice hit by a car. Crumbs was struck by a car. They’re both from Mexico and came together to Long Island eight in this condition. But rain or shine, they get their walk. Thanks to one man.
