☕ Good morning, Long Island!

🗳️ The results are in and 79% of you voted for some form of seasonal snail mail to arrive from Greater Long Island. My wheels are turning!

🧀 Uncle Giuseppe's is celebrating the opening of its Bohemia location Friday (story below). But a little birdie tells me you can go today. 😉

✍🏼 Feel free to respond to this email with feedback!

First, Uncle Giuseppe’s announces Friday grand opening bash in Bohemia

🎉 Uncle Giuseppe’s opens its new Bohemia supermarket this Friday inside Sayville Plaza. The 40,000-square-foot store brings a bakery, café, deli, butcher and loads of Italian specialties to the community.

Second, at this Long Island ranch, horses are helping save veterans’ lives

🏇🏼 At Warrior Ranch, rescued horses and veterans come together for healing through equine-assisted therapy. The nonprofit offers a judgment-free space where those who served and animals in need both find a second chance. My advice, click to just watch the video.

Third, Shake Shack opens its first Long Island drive-thru in Selden Nov. 20

🍔 Long Island burger fans, get ready: Shake Shack this month is officially opening its easternmost Suffolk County location and its very first Long Island drive-thru. This will also be the Island's sixth location.

More headlines to highlight

🍎 “Coming soon” signs are up at the new Trader Joe’s in Miller Place, confirming the store is on the way. Construction is moving quickly, too.

🛍️ Savers is opening a new 21,000-square-foot store in Bethpage this Thursday, marking its seventh Long Island location. Shoppers can browse thousands of pre-loved clothes, home goods and more.

🍽️ Dark Horse has officially opened its second location — this time in Port Jefferson. The new space is much larger than Sayville’s, giving the café room to expand its popular menu and vibe.

🎄 A geomagnetic storm lit up Long Island skies this week with a rare glimpse of the northern lights. Locals reported bursts of color late Tuesday night with another chance possible last night. Did you see it?

🚂 Hicksville will host a big model train show Nov. 22–23 featuring detailed layouts from multiple clubs. The family-friendly event also supports the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum.

Karmic Grind has expanded from Locust Valley to downtown Oyster Bay, bringing its laid-back vibe and signature pink tumblers across the harbor.

Greater Babylon coverage is funded in part by The Argyle Theatre, where Broadway comes to Babylon. Click here for tickets to Annie.
