First, LI football phenom PJ Carey makes college decision at Oheka Castle

๐Ÿ‰ East Northport native Preston "PJ" Carey, formerly of St. Anthony's, is headed to Georgia. The defensive lineman made the highly anticipated announcement Monday night in front of a packed house at Oheka.

๐Ÿ’ Meanwhile, Ross Mitton of Copiague is at Islanders development camp. On Tuesday, he signed a one-year, two-way deal with the franchise. He'll likely start the season with the AHL Islanders in Bridgeport.


Second, Lolaโ€™s Southern Cuisine opens in Patchogue, its second location

๐Ÿฆ Lola's Southern Cuisine has officially opened in Patchogue, bringing its signature soul food flavors and hospitality to a new neighborhood.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท La Plage, a longtime waterfront staple in Wading River, has also opened a second Long Island location. La Plage Bistro is now open in Bellport.

๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ Fred Astaire Ballroom Studio is waltzing into Port Jefferson, marking the latest addition to Upper Port's growing Jefferson Crossing complex.

๐Ÿ“ฐ A team of volunteer divers may have cracked a Long Island mystery Monday evening when they discovered a submerged car, and the remains of a man who went missing some 15 years ago.

๐Ÿš“ Suffolk Police arrested three men and impounded four high-performance vehicles Sunday after a street takeover in Deer Park that drew hundreds of drivers and shut down traffic, authorities said.
