First, LI football phenom PJ Carey makes college decision at Oheka Castle

🏉 East Northport native Preston "PJ" Carey, formerly of St. Anthony's, is headed to Georgia. The defensive lineman made the highly anticipated announcement Monday night in front of a packed house at Oheka.

🏒 Meanwhile, Ross Mitton of Copiague is at Islanders development camp. On Tuesday, he signed a one-year, two-way deal with the franchise. He'll likely start the season with the AHL Islanders in Bridgeport.

📰 A team of volunteer divers may have cracked a Long Island mystery Monday evening when they discovered a submerged car, and the remains of a man who went missing some 15 years ago.

🚓 Suffolk Police arrested three men and impounded four high-performance vehicles Sunday after a street takeover in Deer Park that drew hundreds of drivers and shut down traffic, authorities said.

🦮 A Moriches mom accused of kicking and injuring a disabled Army veteran’s service dog during an altercation at a Chuck E. Cheese was in court Wednesday. Her attorney tells GLI she was provoked.

🚣🏼 Emergency crews rescued two kayakers from the Sound Monday afternoon after their kayak sank off Sunken Meadow Beach, police said.
