First, The Farm Italy sets opening date for new Westbury restaurant

🇮🇹 The Farm Italy, which debuted two years ago in Huntington, has just announced that its Westbury location will be opening Sept. 20.

Second, ‘What’ll it be, boss?’ ‘Just 4,000 bagels’ as LI shops feed the Ryder Cup

🥯 Four thousand bagels and at least 5,500 cups of coffee. That’s the order The Bagel Hut in Farmingdale received for Ryder Cup Week at Bethpage Black. And it's not the only business feeling the boon.

🏨 Meanwhile, a brand-new Hampton Inn hotel has officially opened its doors in Farmingdale, bringing 101 guest rooms and a full slate of amenities to the area just in time for the Ryder Cup to arrive.


Third, East End football hit again as combined North Fork team axes season

📰 The Greenport/Southold/Mattituck varsity team has canceled its 2025 season because of a lack of players, school officials confirmed. It marks the second football program out east to fold this fall.
