🏢 Suffolk County has ditched its master developer at the Midway Crossing project in Ronkonkoma after seven years. County Executive Ed Romaine said there's been too little progress on moving the plans forward. The county is now looking for new, would-be private partners.


Second, bird flu forces Long Island farm to euthanize 99,000 ducks

🚜 Long Island’s largest duck farm is grappling with a devastating bird flu outbreak that has forced the facility to euthanize its entire flock.


Third, services set for military trailblazer who broke color barrier

🇺🇸 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, for Nancy Leftenant-Colon, a groundbreaking figure in American military and nursing history, who died on Jan. 8 at the age of 104. She was from Amityville.
